How do I use the Internet Explorer Web Page Locator Processor?

The IE Locator Processor is responsible for transferring the web pages from IE to the Web Snatch program. It can be accessed by hitting F10 or by clicking the toolbar button. It runs automatically while the Snatch program is running even if your not viewing it. The IELP constantly monitors the Windows processes and when it finds a new IE browser process running the program decodes the handle and sends the web address to the decoded URL's list. Decoded URL's are then sent to the Web Snatch web address box. Open the IELP and open a IE browser window and monitor the URL list to see if the web address list is being compiled.

Open the IE browser and you should notice the Web Snatch web address change to your home page. When you change to another web site the web address should change to that page.

The IELP turns off while the Web Snatch program is searching web sites and is supposed to automatically turn back on after ripping pictures, adding to the que list or resetting the search. If its not running then you can turn it on manually by clicking the on/off button.

Decoding of the handles depends on the speed of your computer! On newer computers the list decodes faster than you can see with your eye and on older computers it looks like the list is being decoded in slow motion! If you have an older computer and OS then you can expect the IELP to run slower!

If you have multiple web pages open at the same time there could be a short delay on transferring the web address.

The IELP works best when there are not lots of web pages open at the same time. Close web pages down after your done viewing them!

Different types of security programs and firewalls can cause problems with the transfer of the web URL?

TROUBLE SHOOTING: The web browsers web address is not being sent to the Web Snatch web address for some reason?
Start by checking that the IE Locator Processor is running and decoding. Then, check to see that the addresses are being added to the URL's list. Then check to see that the URL's list is being transferred to the Web Snatch web address box. Make sure that the web address has a http:// prefix. Remember that the IELP only works with the Microsoft IE browser! If you have multiple IE web pages open there could be a short delay on transferring the web address. The user only has one control to operate while in the IELP interface and that is on/off. The IELP is supposed to work automatically and the user should not usually need to even open the interface except to monitor that it's running or not! If your still having problems then check to see that your not using an old version of Windows and/or IE Browser. Also, different types of security programs and firewalls can cause problems with the transfer of the web address?
